Hameed Haroon, the CEO of DAWN, Pakistan's largest english newspaper wrote an
open letter which addresses the problems being faced by DAWN in particular, and print media in general. Most of electronic media already has been blocked by government authorities (
read one of my earlier blog entry). I am not very much up-to-date with what Mr Haroon is complaining about, but I definitely agree with the argument that Pervez Musharraf government is increasingly becoming unhappy of the quoting of incidents across country in the press, including tribal areas, judiciary etc.
